Built in 1909, we became the third owners on September 26, 2009. The original owners were in the house until the late 1940′s. It was then bought my a family with two children. By the time we purchased the home, the house had sat empty for over eight years. The owner passed away the previous January, and it was finally cleaned out, ready for sale.
The home touts over 2400 sq. ft. With two separate basement apartments. There is an alleyway entrance to a two-car detached garage and the home sits on two lots. So while it is a big house, that means we have a lot of work.
We bought the home with the intention of selling it. However, we were definitely open to moving into it also.
We are in the process of fixing it up and making it beautiful. Stay tuned for the after photos of this gorgeous home.
Update:
Well, our beautiful home is almost sold, but far from done. Since discovering that we are headed to a new community, we knew we had to get this house done. We have a buyer who is willing to come in and finish this beauty.
Did I mention that this home was built in 1909? Of course, it would be in the nine months that we own it that a tree decides to fall on it.
No harm was done to the house. Now we have firewood for the winter.
