Thanks for dropping in.
Welcome to my dirt road musings. Here you can find ramblings about my life as a woman, wife, mother, and friend.
I love to write (here and at Momaha.com). I love to talk. I love to be involved. I love to travel. So here you can find posts that will make you laugh, make you glad you aren’t me, and hopefully some posts for good discussion, and few about the places I’ve been and things keeping me busy.
About me:
I married my high school sweetheart in 2000, graduated from college in 2001 and started working for the Social Security Administration.
I put my career on hold in 2003 after the birth of my first son and returned to work with SSA part-time in 2006 when my second son was 15 months old. In 2008, we welcomed our third (and possibly final) son into our family.
My life is hectic, beautiful, chaotic, lovely, and all-consuming. I wouldn’t trade this life for anything. But to put my life in perspective, I need to write. That’s why I’m here.
The cast:
My husband: Mr. Popular
I had no idea what was in store for me when a handsome senior in high school asked me to be his girlfriend. We started dating when I was 16, married when I was 21, and are living our Happily Ever After. I couldn’t have know then what an incredible husband, father, and man he would become, but I am glad I took the chance. He’s an assistant principal at our high school in town. Prior to that, he taught protestant religion at Boys Town High School in Omaha, NE for nearly 10 years.
I-man: The first born, sweet kid (8)
He is our tender-hearted little perfectionist. He loves to talk, to play Star Wars and the Wii. I was so blessed to have such an easy-going first child (there probably wouldn’t have been anymore if he had been otherwise) and he continues to bless our lives as he is all too quickly growing up into such a young man.
C-dub: Our little ninja (6)
He is our middle child, who never ceases to amaze us with his tenacity and quickness. He can be quiet, but will exert himself when necessary, as his brothers know all too well. He loves to wrestle, race, and do anything physcial. He is such a joy.
Little N: The wee one (3)
Our baby, he refuses to be left behind by his older brothers. He gives us all so much to laugh and giggle about throughout the day and is quickly learning how to be a little boy, leaving his baby ways behind.
